I think an Iberian nation would be interesing, but how would it be different from Spain or Potugal? Just a new name and colour? What ideas would it have?Maybe a single formable nation for the Maghreb region is a good idea, but I don't think 'Carthage' would be a good basis for it. Carthage was Phonecian, not Berber.
Besides, all the nations in the region have the same National Ideas, so it wouldn't make sense to grant new ones for unifying the region, and without new ideas the tag switch would be meaningless. Iberia would be a bit anachronistic. That concept was born in the 19th Century. Until then all the Iberians called themselves Spanish ( for Roman Hispania). However, as Portugal was indendent for Centuries and both Portugal and the rest of Hispania developed new national identities, that's why Iberia was created, as a new nation to unite the former 'Spain' (as it stopped meaning Hispania). It would be a bit redundant for Eu4. However it could be cool for Victoria 2However, other alternative versions of Spain, as many people posted on the Dev Diary would be a nice idea.Pontus would be just another Trebizond, which is already the Pontic primary nation.
Burma for a tech 20 Burmese, Mon, or Arakenese nation. Meaning Prome, Ava and Taungu, Arakan, and Pegu. Excluding the Shan States because they already have a formable, Shan.Ceylon for a united Ceylon. It is kinda divided now, although the Ceylon tag exists under Kotte.Oirat/Kara Del reforming into Zunghar could be a thing.
The tag already exists and Zungharia would be a useful tag to form if you don't plan on becoming emperor of China. Around tech 10 or so sounds good.Franconia for minors in German region including Wurzburg, Palatinate, etc. Swabia sounds good as well for Ravensburg, Wurtemburg, Baden. We have tiny formables in Hanover and Westphalia, I don't see why not.For North Africa I'm not sure what could be formed.
I think the best thing would be Ifriqiya. It has existed before and has some historical basis. Nokia 206 usb driver. I think it should not be as good as Andalusia could be though. Andalusia should be end goal with this route.Honestly, I don't see western Roman Empire being a thing. Not Iberia either.
Speaking as a 'Ilyrian', Ilyria died well before even CK 2 and its EU 4 population likely doesnt have to do much with Ilyirians, the same way 21 century USA isnt a Native Indian Tribe nation.Ilyria only became a thing in the 19 century with the rise of Balkan nationalism as a real life tag for a nation that would unite the Balkans (with Yugoslavia being its more non-romantical equivalent). As a Balkans person, I would love a unified Balkan tag, but sadly nobody united the Balkans anywhere near this era. Click to expand.I don't understand this desire for a united South Slavic tag. 'Illyria' was literally just a romantic pipe dream of a few poets and writers in 19th-Century Croatia as a reaction against Habsburg rule. It never had any real political momentum behind it and even when Archduke Franz Ferdinand proposed creating a tripartite monarchy of Austria, Hungary, and a South Slavic Kingdom, the idea would be to simply incorporate the other South Slavic lands into the Kingdom of Croatia, which already existed with a certain degree of autonomy from Hungary. The closest thing I can think of resembling the concept of a unification of South Slavs was in the Fojnica Armorial, but that was essentially just the Despot of Serbia trying to show off by claiming the other South Slavic thrones, rather than a serious union of South Slavic nations.EDIT: I realise the irony of having something called the 'Illyrian Trilogy' in my signature, but I used it because it was a catchier name than 'Croatian-Slovene-Dalmatian-Romance Trilogy' and because the Illyrian Provinces of the First French Empire roughly correspond to the area I'm covering in those threads.

My Map of Formable Nations with as description in the:After a wave of fixes i had to make is the most recent one. The Formable Nations if you would form them in 1836.There is one thing to add here: As Byzantium gains cores on provinces that have a turkish or Greek dominant culture the provinces that you own, as such those possible cores are striped in its colour. As Always Suggestions for maps are welcome and also for wish map i should make next: POP Density(No idea how i will do it as of now)/ Straits/ HPM Releasable Nations(or NNM).
Also, there is a where the direct links to all maps can also be found.
You may know me for my guides on all for the union nations for regular, unmoded Victoira 2. But, for the 1st time ever, myself and Kaiser Anony, the creator of the Atlas guides series are teaming up to bring to you, the people, a guide on how to form all of the nations from the New Nations Mod by Rylock. The link to the mod has allready been posted in the bief description, if you havent noticed allready, so don't ask please. So with that said, let us go into this weird and challenging world!
Any nation that has Arab Culture (Startng nations: Morocco, Hedjaz, Nejd, Ha'il, Asir, Yemen, Oman, Trucial States, Bahrain, Tunis, Algeirs, Morocco, Egypt, Tripoli(!)) can form the Arab Union. It's a long long road to forming it, but there are a few easy ways. First is the Maghareb Empire, which we'll be discussing later. The even simpler method, however, is by forming Arabia (that is the modern Saudi Arabia, not the full union)The easiest way to form the Arab Union is from the Kingdom of Nejd (that's most of modern Saudi Arabia). Taking your northern rival Ha'il by using a conquest casus bellis, you will gain cores on Hedjaz and the rest of Ottoman-controled Hedjaz. Taking all of those cores will result forming the sub-nation of Arabia.
Victoria Ii Formable Nations
Work on taking over the minor Arabian States to your South. After you have done that, you'll have to civilise, and then after you have done that, start taking on other un-civs in your area such as Egypt (watch for Great Powers) and Iran. Over time though reform, you'll become a civilized nation.
At this point, put the reactionary party in power, and once you do, you'll gain cores on all of southern Arabia. After that, work on the road to Great Powerdom. As soon as you become a great power, you can finaly en-act a deision that lets you form the Arab Union! You'll gain cores all over the Arab world.
Have fun!Kaiser Anony says:For an added challenge, any Arab-cultured country can head the Arab Union, with only the prerequisite of Great Powerdom and having all areas of your secondary culture group. If you're forming this nation via one of the Arabian states, do remember to make good use of the Crisis system if the Ottoman Empire is doing particularly well. Finally, if you do this from Tripoli, I will be very impressed. Research Revolution & Counterrevolution and Social Science, have a democracy or HM government with a liberal or socialist ruling party. This allows you to propose the federation, first to Hungary and then to the other Danubian cultures in your territory (Bohemia, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia). They will each in turn either accept, demand vassal status or refuse outright. They will come as events such as these.
You can ignore the latter two, but it will cause rebellion once you form the Danubian Federation- which you can do once all the cultures have responded, giving you all the accepted cultures and cores for those cultures which accepted the federation fully. After they have all deliberated, you'll be finaly able to form the Federation in the form of a desision. From there, you'l get events that over time add more accepted cultures to the Federation. Should Hungary ever rebel or the country become a totalitarian state with high militancy, the specter of civil war will arise as the member nations demand secession.Kaiser Anony says:This is a good union for controlling militancy, but a poor choice for economic growth. Only proceed with this union if you're very worried about rebellion, or if you simply care little about your industrial score. In addition, you will no longer be able to form the German Empire. Mass effect 3 galaxy map. RajputanaThe Indian nations of Bikaner, Jaialmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur can all form this sub-union.
Victoria 2 Formable Nations Mod
Now, in order to form Rajputana, you must must own Bikaner, Jaialmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur or have those provinces in your sphere. Then when you form the sub-union, you'll gain cores over the entire region of Rajputana.Kaiser Anony says:Forming India, as it is for every sub-nation outside of Pakistan, is going to be very difficult and you WILL be in combat with the British. Try to time it so that their forces are tied up in Europe or North America. Spain, Catalonia, Portugal and the releasable Spanish minors can all form Iberia, but Spain is the recommended nation to use. In order to form Iberia, one must, as Spain, sphere Portugal and conquer British Giblartar. The easiest part of this is sphering Portugal- the only difficulty being keeping your GP status. The hard part is getting Gibraltar from the UK- this single province will be the key to forming Iberia.
Have powerful allies such as France, Russia or the Prussians/NGF/German Empire to assist you in your conquest. Once you have Gibraltar, you can form Iberia!Kaiser Anony says:Gibraltar may be one tiny province, but the British aren't going to let it go easily. Focus on defending it from them over attacking, and eventually they'll be forced to give it up to you. Any nation in the East Indies can form Indonesia, however there aren't exactly loads of nations in the area from the start.
If you plan on forming Indonesia as Johore or Brunei, its suggested that you first form Malaysia. All you have to do is take over all core regions owned by the other nation Of course, you'll need to be civilized to do so. You'll gain cores on the nations that have Malay as Primary culture.
Malaysia with all its cores can be seen to the screen shot. Now, to finaly form Indonesia, you'll have to have all core regions of any of the minor East Indies States under your Sphere or having you own them. If you want plan to use the SoI way, prepare to engage in free-people wars, cause all of their cored regions need to be under their control. An alternative is also just having your reations with the nations over 50. Once you're able to have all of the minor nations in your SoI, you will become Indonesia and have Javan, Malay and Moluccan accepted cultures and cores on all of modern Indonesia.Kaiser Anony says:This nation is one of the biggest luck-based formations in the game.
Ironically, the better the Dutch do the easier the nation becomes to make- don't get too discouraged if the Dutch getting sphered prevents an early formation. Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay can all form this nation, but using Argentina is suggested. To form La Plata, Research Nationalism & Imperialism and have all Argentinian, Paraguayan and Uruguayan cores either owned or under your control. It is suggested to go for Paraguay first before Brazil takes their core in Mato Groso, otherwise you'll have to fight them for it and gain not only that providence, but a huge chunk of other regions that will make your borders look quite ugly. Also, try to become a great power before you take Uruguay. If your a GP and have Romanticism, you will be able to en-act a deisision that will give you cores over all of Uruguay, thus saving your imfamy by not having to justify a war and being able to annex them all in a swift way.
Victoria 2 Tags
When you finaly have all that done, you'll be able to form La Plata! This will allow you to form the union and gives you cores over Bolivia as well. As a great power, you can, via desision, add Brazilian accepted culture and claim Rio Grande do Sul as well.Kaiser Anony says:As Argentina, watch out for the Entre Rios event chain in the early game.
If you accept their demands, you lose eligibility to form La Plata due to a massive prestige hit and government change- in addition to this, it can be a problem to have a civil war while in the middle of war with another nation. Any nation with Maghrebi primary culture is able to perform this unification. Also, if you may recall, this is the 'pan-arabian state' that Kaiser Anony refers to in his Altas guide 'what nation shoudl I play as' The Last Stand challenge as Tripoli.Anyways, in order to form this nation, you must have Fez, Constantine, Tunis and Tripoli either owned or under your control- or the owner is Maghrebi, civilized and friendly to you. This will unite you and give you cores over North Africa from Libya west to Mauritania. Also remember that you can still form the Arab Union as Maghreb, so you could consider this as almost like a 'sub union' to the Arab Union.Kaiser Anony says:Always watch out for France on the way to this union. If you're Algeria, try to make some early use of the Crisis system to try and push them out of North Africa entirely; Otherwise, attempt to ensure that they don't enroach on your territory. Again, if you can form the Arab Union from Tripoli, you're pretty cool.
Massi, Fouta Touro, Fouta Jallon, Waddara, Wolof, Dendi, Damagaram, Sokoto, and the Toucouleur Empire can all form the Mail Union. You have an absolute monarchy and own Bamako, Linguere, Podor, Segu, Bandiagara, Niamey, Gabu and Timbo.
You must also either own Kong and Wagadigu, or have an alliance with their owners. Though this seems like a long and difficult nation to form, all nations will occasionaly recieve 'Sahel Jihad' Casus Bellis to take over nearby target nations.Once you form the Mail Union, you'll be the most powerful nation in Africa, able to take on any imperialist that dares enter your territory.Kaiser Anony says:Bamana and Massina are the best choices to form this empire- as long as you can defeat the other primary Malian nation. Bamana has numerical superiority vs. Massina's troop superiority. They both can conquer eachother in one war, and once that happens, you'll be in proximity to all of the other major cities needed.
Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. Any of the three can be used. Since you will be releasing the nations from Russia to even form this, the choice is yours as to who will form this. Now, in order to form this union nation, you must have Erivan, Tbillsi and Baku either under your control or owned. Beware of your infamy limit during this period. It you surpass 25 infamy, you'll be reciving a Declaration of war from any nation, but particularly, Russia, Persia, or the Ottoman Empire.
If you do manage to stay on the safe side and do all of the needed things, you can enact the desision to form Transcaucasia. This will give you all three accepted cultures and Transcaucasian cores over all their cores, even if the original nations didn't control them.Kaiser Anony says:You're going to really need those Encourage Soldiers national focuses for this one, as none of the eligible nations start out with enough soldiers for even one unit. Azerbaijan starts out with the closest-sized population, and thus, is my encouraged pick. Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uighurstan are all able to form Turkestan. Many of these countries don't exist to start, their cores appearing either in the 1850's (for Kazakhstan) or around 1900 (for Turkmenistan and Tajikstan). Khiva and Bukkhara can become Uzbekistan (or the cores will appear once both of them are annexed), while Kokand can become Kyrgyzstan (again, those cores will appear if Kokand is annexed). Now, in order to form Turkestan, as one of those nations, you must become civilized and control Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikstan and Kyrgyzstan's cores. This proces will take awhile due to the need to annex the nations that have the needed regions.
It is suggested to release all the central asian nations that have the needed regions so that you won't have to fight the Russians. One you finaly form Turkestan, you'll receive all the central asian cultures as accepted cultures and cores on all countries which can form the union- essentially all of Central Asia.Kaiser Anony says:With the superlate formation, proximity to Russia, China, and British India, almost inevitable conflict with all of them, landlocked status, and lack of other unciv neighbors around to conquer except the powerful Afghanistan and Persia, this is the hardest of any of the new formable nations to make and sustain, full stop.
